課程概述

A general survey of major modern dramas from the 17th to the 20th centuries:
Restoration comedy of manners (Aphra Behn's The Rover), late 19th
century modern European drama
(Ibsen, Strindberg, Chekhov),
Oscar Wilde and Victorian
theatre, Bertolt Brecht and
20th century political theatre

 This course is designed to
acquaint students with major
Western modern dramas from
the 17th century to 20th
century from multiple
perspectives of historical
context, dramatist's
biography, and textual
analysis.
